Keep in mind this is a sound activated switch and not a voice recognition switch. Ambient noise or sound close to the microphone could cause false activation. It could be used with an adapted TV remote if the switch was close to the users mouth and the sensitivity was set low so that the sounds from the TV would not false activate it. But if there was a very loud sound or noise from the TV it could still set it off.
