# Phones for the Deaf

TTY Phones for those who are deaf, including hard of hearing.

A TTY is **a telephone communication device for people who are profoundly deaf**. TTY stands for Text Telephone. It is also sometimes called a TDD, or Telecommunication Device for the Deaf.
