OnScreen with CrossScanner
SKU: 11121
|
Overview
- OnScreen provides On-Screen keyboard emulation that works with ANY Windows program. The Assistive Technology Version provides a wealth of features specifically designed for use by individuals who can not easily use common input devices.
- CrossScanner provides single-switch scanning to individuals who cannot operate a mouse, trackball, or other pointing device, but are capable of triggering a single switch. Interfaces supported are through the mouse, joystick, or keyboard inputs.
- CrossScanner presents a LineScan (vertical scan) when initially triggered to scan down the screen, so the user can select the Y coordinate for their click, double-click, or drag operation. The FingerScan (horizontal scan) begins with the IconWindow of Actions available (selectable by a switch hit), and then continues until the next switch hit, where the selected action occurs at the selected X/Y coordinate (e.g. double-click on an icon). If there is no switch hit, the FingerScan (Optional) begins a reverse scan to allow a right-click action. There are numerous other options available based on user requirements.
- OnScreen is a Windows software program that provides a powerful interface through a ANY pointing device by providing on-screen keyboards, Word Prediction / Word Completion, user programmable macros, and complete control over all computer functions.
- OnScreen uses a concept found in fighter planes, helicopters, tanks, and automobiles. That concept is called "Heads Up Display" technology and its principal objective is to keep the user's focus and concentration centered in one place. OnScreen uses that concept to reduce the visual re-focusing and re-positioning, caused by the heads up and down motion of going from screen to keyboard to screen, and the resulting confusion it causes.

- Word Prediction, Adaptive Word Completion
- With the WordComplete / Action panel open, as you begin to type, a frequency sorted list of words is presented to the user. If more letters are typed, the choices reflect the new list of candidates. A single click of the word will complete the word in the document or e-mail being typed into. Undo becomes available, and the word's frequency count is incremented. If a new word is typed, the word is added into the user's Word Lists. Auto-spacing, auto-capitalization, suffixes, and other WordComplete features can greatly increase the typing speed and accuracy of the user!
